In 2020, members of the IWG reflected on their experiences in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting both their challenges and their hopes for the future of the crisis. Since then, COVID-19 has differentially affected communities across the globe, with some of the heaviest impact of the pandemic occurring right now in India. Times of crisis, however, can bring about the greatest facets of human ingenuity, compassion and collaboration. In this special edition of The Unprecedented Times, we aim to highlight the experiences of individuals working in organizations that are tackling COVID-19 on the frontlines of the pandemic. Our hope is that these stories will not only provide valuable reflections of the crisis that is unfolding, but also can serve to elevate support available to featured organizations to continue carrying out their work.
