The IWG is a volunteer-run community of action with global- and regional-based collaborative leadership structures and members representing six regional hubs across the world.
Our Organizational Structure
Our organization has a governing Board comprising two representatives from each of the six Regional Hubs and an Executive Committee with specialized roles that are cross-regional. Lastly, every Regional Hub has its own Regional Directors and Regional Leaders who drive local, national, and regional level activities.
Two Types of Engagement: Active and Passive Membership
Active Members commit to a consistent engagement in the organization and partake in roles to create and lead initiatives to directly advance our organizational mission, vision, and values. Active membership roles: Board Members, Executive Committee Directors, Regional Directors, and Regional Leaders.
Passive Members engage in our network to support ad-hoc support on ongoing initiatives and/or advisory support and are more flexible to choose their involvement through various opportunities for volunteering. Passive memberships roles: Advisory Council, Alumni, and Volunteers.
