The State of Youth in Global Health Governance Report
Despite comprising 30% of the global population and 60% in Africa, young people remain largely excluded from formal leadership in global health. This report addresses that gap.
A Pioneering Assessment for Change
Diverse young leaders are collaborating around a holographic world map, envisioning innovative solutions for global health challenges and promoting inclusive strategies that advocate for the active participation of youth in decision-making processes.
What We Are Doing
This inaugural report explores how youth are represented, included, or excluded in decision-making spaces within global health institutions. Through a mixed-methods approach, the report examines:
Institutional Analysis
An institutional analysis of 25 leading global health institutions, assessing youth inclusion in staffing, engagement structures, strategies, and policies through a youth mainstreaming lens.
Scoping Review
A scoping review of how youth inclusion is framed across the literature and global policy discourse.
Youth-Led Chapters
Youth-Led Thematic Chapters co-authored by young professionals on issues like mental health, climate justice, pandemic preparedness, and digital health.

This preliminary report provides actionable recommendations and a baseline for change laying the foundation for a full report to be launched in 2026.
