TOWARDS HEALTH SYSTEMS FOR ALL
We are a global community of emerging public health professionals committed to imagining and co-creating equitable and sustainable health systems for everyone.
A Community of Learning and Action
The IWG is a diverse community of learning and action for health system changemakers. We convene, co-imagine and catalyze efforts to strengthen our individual and collective toolbox of knowledge, perspectives, skills and capacities to influence local and global health systems strengthening. One of our core mandates is to nurture a community that supports public health professionals across all career stages—especially during the earlier stages. We provide a space for continuous learning and unlearning, and collective action.
Our Mission
Our mission is to unite the next generation of changemakers and empower them to co-create sustainable solutions for health systems reform.
Our Vision
We envision a world where emerging voices are included and empowered to re-imagine and co-create health systems that work for all.
Our Values
We are guided by: Collaboration, Continuous Learning, Respect for Diversity and Inclusion, Innovation, Integrity, Accountability, Transparency, and Empowerment.
Our Pillars of Action
Knowledge Generation & Sharing
We act as a think-tank and policy institute in global health. We create and disseminate knowledge on health systems strengthening, leadership, governance, non-communicable diseases, and climate & planetary health. Through research, educational resources, and collaborations, we foster a community of informed health professionals.
Advocacy
We empower members to advocate for health systems strengthening on a global scale, centering voices previously excluded from public health dialogues. This pillar engages communities, policymakers and stakeholders to re-imagine and prioritize health systems on global agendas.
Capacity Strengthening
We offer opportunities and resources for members to develop soft and hard skills—through training programs, workshops, mentorship and more—to mobilize action and strengthen personal and professional development.
